Pledger scored 30 points, including 18 in the first half. There’s something about the challenge of being away from home that suits Pledger. The four highest scoring games of his career have all come away from Norman. Before Saturday's road win, Oklahoma had lost 22 of its last 23 true road games against ranked opponents.

New Jersey Nets rookie guard MarShon Brooks has a broken little toe on his right foot and will miss Tuesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. Nets coach Avery Johnson disclosed the injury on Monday and said that Brooks would be seen by doctors later Monday night. It is not immediately known how long Brooks will be sidelined .

For once, Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose didn’t come through when needed most. Rose was 3-for-13 from 10 or more feet away, including a miss of the potential game-tying shot with three seconds left in Sunday’s loss to the Miami Heat. Rose is a 41 percent shooter on shots from that distance at home, but just 31 percent on the road. Rose, who did finish with 34 points, also missed a pair of free throws late in the game, snapping his string of fourth-quarter free-throw perfection.
